New Agilent bench power supplies
Agilent extends its family of basic DC power supplies to include a one of a kind power supply that offers up to 375 W power at three outputs. TREK: New High Frequency High Power Amplifier

BFi OPTiLAS, Pan-European partner of Trek, is launching a new high power amplifier. The Model 2100HF is a high-frequency, high speed, wide bandwidth amplifier for high power applications and provides precise control of output voltages in the range of 0 to ±150 V DC or peak AC with an output current range of 0 to ±300 mA.
The Model 2100HF incorporates an all-solid-state design for high reliability and low-noise operation, thus achieving accurate output response and high slew rates, even into highly capacitive loads. Full power frequency response of the amplifier is essentially flat up to 2 MHz. No overshoot or instability of the waveform occurs due to the amplifier's unique dual feedback feature.
"DC to greater than" bandwidth capabilities for the ±150 volt range include large signal bandwidth of 2.6 MHz. (-3 dB) and a small signal bandwidth greater than 3 MHz (-3 dB).
Industrial applications include the use with MEMS devices, electro-optic modulators, ion beam control, ultrasonics, dielectric material characterization, piezo electric driving and control.

Powerful Agilent Handheld Digital Multimeters for Industrial Applications

Agilent Technologies Inc. announced the U1270 Series handheld digital multimeters (DMMs), setting new levels of performance in industrial handheld DMMs. This series offers a wide range of measurement capabilities; including feature sets that are found only in higher end industrial handheld DMMs.
The U1270 Series allows engineers and technicians to make faster, more accurate measurements. The new DMMs include capabilities such as low impedance mode to eliminate stray voltages, and low-pass filtering to remove noise that distorts voltage and current readings. The new Smart Ohm function helps ensure confidence in results by minimising false readings due to leakage current.
To enhance usability, the DMMs have a slim, easy-to-grip profile and controls that are easy to operate, even when wearing heavy gloves. The U1270 Series are the worlds first DMMs to feature a flashing backlight as visual alert to enhance continuity checks in dark, noisy environments.
These water- and dust-resistant handheld DMMs were designed for industrial troubleshooters who work in dusty, grimy, damp and dark environments.
Additional capabilities include PC connectivity for data-logging applications and easy access to the fuse through the rear-panel battery door.

TREK:High Voltage Amplifiers 2200 Serie
BFi OPTiLAS, Pan-European partner of Trek, is launching a full new range of amplifiers to drive piezo, electro-optics, MEMS and other devices. This is a very important addition to the well known existing piezo drivers such as the PZD series, 601C, and 603.
The 3 new amplifiers 2220, 2210, and 2205 are the first in a series of 6. This series is being developed to address the need for lower cost amplifiers to be used not only in research but also commercial applications.
Available 40 Watts amplifiers deliver Output Voltages ranging from +/- 500 V to +/- 2000 V, peak output current up to +/- 80 mA and bandwidth up to 75 kHz. They are all CE Marked, RoHS compliant and HALT tested.

Agilent: New Clamp Meters

Agilent Technologies Inc. introduced the U1210 series handheld clamp meters, with up to 1000 A of high-current measurement capability for cables up to 2 inches in diameter. Agilent also announced an updated range of handheld instruments clad in vivid orange to highlight the company's commitment to user safety. The bright color provides greater visibility and is in line with conventional color coding that indicates caution; in typical industrial settings.
To provide greater safety protection for engineers and technicians working with high voltages and currents, the Agilent U1240B and U1250B series digital multimeters (DMMs) and U1210A clamp meters carry CAT III 1000 V, CAT IV 600 V safety ratings. The DMMs are certified to IEC 61010 and CSA standards and have passed additional high voltage (hipot) tests that exceed the standards.
In addition, Agilent's handheld DMMs and U1210A clamp meters include 4-mm-tip probes. The reduction in the length of the exposed tip is especially important in CAT IV environments, and the additional insulation further prevents dangerous arc flash if the tips are inadvertently shorted together during probing. The U1240B and U1250B DMMs also include a 30 kA high energy fuse to further protect the user against violent fuse failures during high-current measurements.
For DMM users, the bright orange enclosures are meant to serve as a vivid reminder that they have an extra layer of protection against the unknown, said Ee Huei Sin, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Basic Instruments Division. For the other models, the bright color highlights investment protection through feature sets that go beyond those of typical handhelds and put our customers a step ahead in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair in electronic, electrical and industrial applications.

SRS Dual Channel Audio Analyzer

Dual domain audio analyzer
BFi OPTiLAS introduceert van Stanford Research Systems de nieuwe SR1 Dual-Domain Audio Analyzer. In het hart van deze audio analyzer zit een high-performance analoge signaalgenerator. Alle standaard audio signalen zoals sinus, synchrone burst sinus, ruis etc. zijn beschikbaar. Daarnaast zijn geïntermoduleerde testsignalen, zoals SMPTE, CCIF en DIM en abitrary signalen zoals ASCII en WAV, standaard beschikbaar.
Aangezien er tevens combinaties van deze verschillende testsignalen kunnen worden gemaakt bent u geheel flexibel. Deze flexibiliteit heeft geen enkele invloed op de kwaliteit van het signaal; een flatness van ±0.008 dB (20 Hz to 20 kHz) en een residual THD + N van -108 dB (20 Hz to 20 kHz).
Met de complete set analyzers in de SR1 kan tegelijk aan analoge- als digitale audiosignalen worden gemeten. De SR1 bevat onder andere:
Een time domain detector voor het maken van alle standaard audio metingen zoals Amplitude, Crosstalk en THD+N.
De single channel en dual channel FFT analyzer. De dual channel FFT-Analyzer biedt ook de mogelijkheid voor single shot frequentie response metingen. Hierdoor wordt een ultieme nauwkeurigheid verkregen.
Een THD analyzer voor frequentie selectieve THD metingen waarbij tot aan de 13 harmonische van het ingangssignaal kan worden gemeten.
Een IMD analyzer voor het maken van standaard metingen aan vervorming inclusief SMPTE, CCIF en DIM.
Een histogram analyzer, die histogrammen laat zien van de amplituden van het ingangsignaal met de daarbij behorende mogelijke vervormingen.
Een multitone analyzer, die in combinatie met de multitone generator kan worden gebruikt voor single shot metingen aan een tal van audio parameterers.
De SR1 biedt tevens een complete set metingen om digitale interfaces te testen. Het draaggolfniveau en de sampling frequenties worden direct gemeten en de jitter analyzer meet jitter in zowel frequentie- als in tijddomein. Met slechts overgebleven jitter van 800 ps is de kwaliteit van de jitter analyzer ongeëvenaard.
De dual channel audio analyzer draait op een Windows XP embedded besturingssysteem. Hierdoor is de gebruikers interface toegankelijk en is het mogelijk om het instrument volledig te automatiseren. U kunt voor uw test in het instrument zelf een script schrijven of met een willekeurig pakket als Visual Basic, LabView, Vee Pro, de SR1 programmeren.

Trek: New High Voltage Amplifier Model PZD350A

Model PZD350A Offers Wide Bandwidth and Addresses Need for High Speed and Precise
Control of Output Voltages; Important in Piezoelectrics, Electro-optics, MEMS and other applications.
The PZD350A provides a large signal bandwidth of 250 kHz (-3dB) and a small signal bandwidth greater than 350 kHz (-3dB). This bandwidth capability is especially important in new piezo and piezo-stack applications, which require the high current levels as provided by this new amplifier from Trek. The fully protected output of Model PZD350A enhances the utility of this unit in piezo and other reactive load applications by assuring that the amplifier is safe-guarded from incidental short circuits, arcing or energy return from the load device.
The PZD350A design offers outstanding DC stability, high speed and precise control of output voltages (DC or peak AC) in the programmable ranges of 0 to +/-350 V with an output current range of 0 to +/-200 mA (bipolar model); 0 to +700 V with +/-100 mA (unipolar model); 0 to -700 V with +/-100 mA (unipolar model). An alternative PZD350A M/S design offers twice the current capability of the standard PZD350A models. Other technical parameters for the Model PZD350A include DC accuracy better than 0.1% of full scale and slew rate greater than 500 V/μs (+/-350 V range) or 350 V/μs (700 V range). The unit has precision voltage and current monitors and is CE marked.
